Instalove romance
They know on sight, and the book doesn't apologize for it. Instalove skips the slow build: the bond lands fast, sometimes in the first chapter, and the story spends its pages on consequence instead of will-they-won't-they. It is the natural partner of fated mates, monster romance, and omegaverse, where destiny or biology does the introducing and certainty is the whole point rather than a flaw. Handled well, the speed is the fantasy: no games, no second-guessing, just two people who are sure. Handled badly, it skips the chemistry it promised. Ruby Dixon's alien mate-bonds are the trope at its most unabashed.
